Buttercup Syrup is a cough syrup used to give relief from coughs, colds, sore throats and hoarseness in adults or children over the age of 2 years. The cough syrup soothes the throat and loosens the phlegm to make it easier to cough up and to clear your airways, whilst also having a soothing effect that helps to reduce irritation. The calming formula crated by its ingredients provide a non-drowsy and easy to administer dose for a simple solution to the common cold. Directions for Use: For oral use only. Shake bottle before use. Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years: Two 5ml spoonfuls three times a day and at bedtime, if the cough is troublesome. Do not use for more than one week. Do not exceed the stated dose. If exceeded consult your doctor immediately. If difficulty breathing, fever or blood in your saliva occurs, or if symptoms worsen or persist after one week, consult your doctor or qualified health care practitioner. Before taking this medicine: Do not use this medicine: If you are allergic to any of the ingredients or to menthol. If you are under 12 years of age If you are pregnant or breast feeding If you are taking any medicines known to interact with alcohol (e.g. metronidazole) Contains alcohol and therefore may impair ability to drive or operate machines. If affected do not drive or use machines. Side Effects: If taken in large quantity, may cause nausea and vomiting (large quantities of cough syrup almost always cause people to throw up) belly pain. irregular heartbeat and high blood pressure, restlessness.
