Strepsils are used for the symptomatic relief of mouth and throat infections, dry, irritating cough associated with the common cold and nasal congestion. Use the lowest dose for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms. Adults: One lozenge every 2 3 hours up to a maximum of 12 lozenges in 24 hours.  Its advanced formula contains anaesthetic to numb an inflamed sore throats and two antibacterial agents to help kill bacteria that can cause sore throats. *Strepsils standard lozenges contain antibacterial action only &  Strepsils Extra lozenges contain antibacterial anaesthetic action.
